About Us

We work hard for the honey.

We are a small-batch, urban apiary located in the heart of Carrboro, North Carolina.

We have roughly 10 hives, which fluctuates every year. Last winter was tough. We lost all but one of our colonies due to colony collapse. This spring we’ve been catching swarms and splitting hives, so we’re back to where we started.

We believe our work makes an impact.

It’s no secret that bees play an integral part in pollinating the food we eat. The global decline in bees inspired us to start our own apiary.

Beyond the hives, we practice pesticide free micro-farming and offer our girls a wide variety of drought tolerant pollinator flowers.
